All the participants in the editorial and publishing process (authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members) must adhere to the ethical standards outlined below, which are based on the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authorship

By submitting an article for publication in the journal “Drevnyaya Rus’. Voprosy medievistiki”, the Author confirms his/her authorship. In the case of a joint work, the materials for publication may be submitted by one of the Authors, provided that all the co-authors are listed, and all the necessary and reliable information about them is provided in the materials.

If any organizations contribute to the content of the work or provide funding, the Author must identify them in the work.

Any changes to a text that has been already reviewed and accepted for publication may be made by the Author only with the consent of the Editorial Board.

The materials accepted for publication, submitted for editing, but not yet published, may not be made publicly available.

Authors are required to identify all the information sources used in the work, including lists of sources, research literature, and informants (when publishing field research results). Authors must ensure that, if using the works and/or texts of others, citations are properly provided. Any form of plagiarism is unacceptable. Self-plagiarism is also prohibited, that is, attempting to republish one's own previously published work without making significant changes. Manuscripts submitted to the journal for publication are checked for plagiarism using the ANTIPLAGIAT system. Simultaneous submission of the same work to the journal “Drevnyaya Rus’. The review must be objective, impartial, and free of personal attacks against the Author. Any comments and suggestions for improvement must be made politely. Reviewers are encouraged to bring any signs of plagiarism to the Editorial Board's attention.

The Editorial Board will provide the Authors of the submitted materials with their conclusion, drawn up on the basis of the reviews received, or a reasoned refusal.

If the material is not rejected, but comments are made, the Editorial Board will review it once again after revision by the author. Reviews are kept by the publisher and the editorial staff for five years.

Upon request, the Editorial Board is obliged to submit copies of reviews to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

All the reviewers are recognized as experts in the subject matter of the materials being reviewed and have themselves published materials on the topic of the article within the last three years.
